The West Cumbria Amalgamation have put back the weekend race from Charnock Richard until Sunday.
Indeed, if the weather doesn’t improve then they will try for a race on the Monday.
The Derwent Valley and West Cumberland Federation opened their season last Saturday from Garstang and were hopeful of another good day.
But the forecast has deteriorated over the last 24 hours and the committee decided to make alternative arrangements.
A statement said: “Race marking put back 24 hours. Weather will continue to be monitored but Sunday is not looking that good.
“If Monday is the better day we will look to race mark Sunday for a Monday race.”
