Lockdown fitness guru Joe Wicks has sent a video message of congratulations to a Cumbrian school, after pupils won a jammy prize.
Youngsters at Castle Park School in Kendal won a social media competition organised by jam company Fearne & Rosie to celebrate the launch of its three-year partnership with BBC Children in Need.
The competition offered parents the chance to win a jamtastic box of goodies for their child’s school, giving away £250-worth of Fearne & Rosie Reduced Sugar Jam.
Joe said: “Hello to everybody at Castle Park School in Kendal, it’s Joe Wicks here. Congratulations to all of you on winning the lovely Fearne & Rosie jam, me and my kids love it.
“I hope you enjoy cooking and baking and have a great day. Thanks to all of you who took part in PE with Joe in lockdown, I’m sure some of you did some of the workouts.”
Ross Knaggs, headteacher of Castle Park School, said some of the jams had been enjoyed at an afternoon tea event for parents and carers.
He said: “It was a lovely little event and the jams were a hit. The children met the guests, served them teas and then washed up. We’ve been so lucky to win.”
