Walkers have been left outraged over the bank holiday weekend as camping gear and a barbecue were abandoned at a Lake District beauty spot.
People camped on Buttermere Moss and then walked off, abandoning all their kit for someone else to clean up after them.
Rubbish included a cool box, food waste and plastic bottles.

Ed Newcome, of Kendal, who came across the site while out on a walk, said: “It’s disappointing there are people around with such massive disrespect.”
Ronny got in touch with us to say that he was at Red Tarn, just below Helvellyn recently and saw some people surrounded by their litter. He said: “Rubbish and bottles left everywhere including in the tarn. I had a word with the people and they got round to tidying it all up but I’m sure they wouldn’t have done if I hadn’t have said….It’s disgusting.”
