People in the Lake District got a surprise as a Lancaster Bomber flew over the area.
The Second World War aircraft flew across Windermere twice and was spotted by a number of people, including Richard Elliot who got some great shots of it.
It was also spotted from Maryport today, Saturday, June 17.

It is not clear what it was doing in the area, but a Lancaster Bomber is due to be taking part in a flypast in a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, part of Armed Forces Memoral Weekend in Cleethorpes tomorrow.
Of the 7,377 aircraft built, 3,736 were lost during the war – 3,249 in action and 487 in ground accidents. Today 17 remain in complete form. Only two are airworthy.
Lancaster Bombers took part in the Dambusters raids 80 years ago.
