
A man reported as missing on Monday has gone on to social media to tell people he’s not missing – but wanted by the police.
Cumbria Constabulary issued an appeal for Jordan Roche, 25, of Carlisle, who was missing.
However, someone posting from his Facebook account immediately told the constabulary on its social media page that he wasn’t missing, he was wanted.
Today, the account has posted: “My name’s Jordan Roche. To clear things up am not missing am wanted, am 6ft5, medium build.
“Got links to Hebburn, Jarrow, Gateshead, South Shields, Newcastle, Durham, Chester-le-Street, Sunderland, Boro, Prudoe, Hexham, Carlisle, Maryport, Workington, Whitehaven, Cleator Moor, Glasgow and the rest hahaha Good luck.
“Here’s a more recent photo for the search.”
This afternoon, police released an updated statement. It said: “Police are continuing to appeal for information on the whereabouts of Jordan Roche.
“He was initially reported to police as missing on Monday June 12 following concerns for his welfare.
“During enquiries on Roche’s whereabouts officers have subsequently received an allegation of assault.
“Roche is wanted in connection with this allegation.”
