
Workington Comets teenage star Luke Harrison will bid for glory in the British Under-19s final on Wednesday night.
The 16-year-old has come back from serious injury to become a key member of the Comets’ line-up.
But even with a win on Wednesday, young Luke is unlikely to make as many television screens or national newspapers as his big sister Paige did last week.
She’s head lass at the Julie Camacho racing stables in Malton, North Yorkshire and at Royal Ascot meeting their horse Shaquille won the Commonwealth Cup.
Paige, who rides the horse every day, led him in after his victory and was interviewed live on air during the ITV coverage.
It transpired that Shaquille is so named because his dam is called Magic and Magic Johnson’s big rival in basketball was Shaquille O’Neal.
