Wath Brow A will be out for revenge

There’s a repeat of the recent E Lamb and Son Amateur Cup final tonight in the Holmen Iggesund Cumberland ARL.

Wath Brow A will clearly be out for revenge when they host Cup winners Maryport after Mark Foster’s side pulled off a deserved win in the final.

Hornets will also be smarting from another defeat last week when they crashed in a League game at old rivals Kells A.

Maryport, too, have something to prove as they have not hit the heights of that Cup final win in subsequent League outings. It should be another enthralling encounter.

Also expected to be keenly contested is tonight’s clash at Highfield where Cockermouth, fresh from a revenge win at Hensingham host a Kells A side buoyant after that win over Wath Brow A last week – especially as it allowed them to lift the Cameron Taylor Memorial Trophy.

In the third game tonight Distington will expect to pick-up maximum points at Egremont A, although the Gillfoot side are fresh from a draw and narrow win over Glasson Rangers in their last two games.

Only one game is scheduled tomorrow and that sees Lowca at home to Ellenborough A.
