Workington Reds fixtures revealed

Workington Reds will start their NPL Premier Division campaign with a home game on August 12 against Ashton United.

They will play their first away game in mid-week when they travel into the North East on Tuesday, August 15 to take on Morpeth Town.

That’s followed by a trip to Ilkeston on Saturday, August 19 while the first mid-week home game follows on the Tuesday, August 22 against Radcliffe Borough.

Danny Grainger’s men will be away on Bank Holiday Monday, August 28, travelling to Bamber Bridge and await the draw for the first qualifying round of the FA Cup which they will play on Saturday, September 2.

The Reds will be away on Boxing Day to Atherton Collieries and play at home on New Year’s Day to Bamber Bridge.

The return game with Atherton at Borough Park will be played on Easter Monday.

Reds will also finish the scheduled season at home as Guiseley will be the visitors on Saturday, April 27.
