West Cumbrian youngsters took to the stage in a musical showcase.

Around 140 pupils of theatre school Razzamataz West Cumbria performed Thank You for the Music at Workington’s Carnegie Theatre, a show to highlight the importance of music to all ages.

Matty Aitchison-Rayson, principal, said: “When putting on a production of this level, you are always going to encounter a few challenges, but the students dealt with it in a resilient manner as always. They demonstrated teamwork and professionalism throughout rehearsals, and we are so proud of every single student.”

Each class got their moment in the spotlight. The Minis stole the show with their performances inspired by The Little Mermaid, Trolls and Alice in Wonderland and the Juniors gave it their all on stage performing mini musicals inspired by Matilda and High School Musical.
