Traffic on a major Carlisle road will be affected by pavement repairs, due to start on Monday.
Contractors, on behalf of Cumberland Council, will start work on the south side of the pavement on Warwick Road, between The Beehive and Brunton Crescent.
From Monday until Friday there will be a stop/go traffic management system in place from The Beehive to the Carlisle United Club Shop.
From Monday, July 24 until Friday August 4 a temporary three-way traffic light system will be installed at the junction of Warwick Road and Greystone Road. The permanent traffic signals will be switched off during this time.
From Monday, July 24, there will be no access from Brunton Crescent onto Warwick Road.
The council is asking people find alternative parking while the work is carried out.
If residents or businesses require access to their property, it can be discussed with a traffic marshal who will be on site during the work.
A spokesman said: “Cumberland Council will also be working in conjunction with Northern Gas Networks throughout the second phase, who will be using the council’s traffic management plan, to remove the need for a further traffic restriction at a later date.”
