
A man has been arrested following a collision on a Lake District road.
The collision happened at around 10.40pm yesterday, July 15, on the A592 near Windermere,
It involved a black Land Rover and a red Ford Fiesta and happened near the entrance of the Storrs Hall Hotel.
The driver of the Fiesta was taken to hospital at Preston.
The driver of the Land Rover was arrested on suspicion of driving while over the prescribed limit for alcohol and a specified drug.
He was also arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The road was closed for several hours while a forensic collision investigation was carried out.
