Workington Town coach Anthony Murray is expecting a reaction from Doncaster when they visit the Fibrus Community Stadium on Sunday.
They crashed to a surprise 41-10 home defeat by Midlands Hurricanes which cost them third place in the table to Town after their 34-16 win at Cornwall.
Murray said: “I am expecting a strong Doncaster side looking to bounce back straight away after that defeat. They are a well-coached, well organised side with experienced players across the park.
“Although I looked at the Midlands side beforehand and could have suggested they might cause a surprise, the margin of victory certainly was.
“In actual fact the Hurricanes have put together a very good squad. They have loaned players and have a dual reg with Castleford and are capable of results like that.”
Murray was pleased with his own side’s performance in winning at Cornwall, which continued an excellent run of form.
“Cornwall tried to knock us off our game, and succeeded for a while but when we got back to our basics and did what we are good at we were fine and saw it out well,” he said.
He is also likely to have other options available this Sunday as Grant Reid (shoulder/neck), Hanley Dawson (concussion protocol) and Jason Mossop (calf) could be all back in contention, although JJ Key will still be an absentee with a hamstring concern.
Meanwhile Murray expressed his satisfaction in the club being able to tie up another deal with full-back Jordan Burns.
“Jordan has been a stand out performer for us this season so I’m delighted we have got him signed up again. He’s vocal in training and in matches, and is a key player in our set-up.
“We have a number of discussions going on at the moment and we are trying to keep the squad together with the bulk of them county-based,” he said.
