Whitehaven have signed on loan Widnes winger Brad Holroyd for the rest of the season.
Holroyd recently spent a short two-week back on loan at Workington but only played one game.
He had made his name for Town in their promotion winning season of 2021 when he scored 18 tries in 17 games, and that was good enough to earn him a move to Widnes Vikings.
Injuries curtailed his debut season with the Vikings and he only made ten Championship appearances, scoring three tries but he did finish the campaign on loan at Swinton and for the second year in a row helped a side gain promotion through the play-offs.
He has not had much game time with them this season but has had a short one-game loan spell at Rochdale before the same at Town and scored one try in each of them.
The 23-year-old Warrington-born Holroyd played junior rugby with Crosfields and East Leigh before joining the Centurions, but he also had a spell in the St. Helens Academy.
He represented England Under-19’s in the European Championship in Serbia.
Overall though he has an impressive try-return-per-game record with 29 touchdown in 39 appearances.
A club spokesman said: “We would like to thank both Chris Hamilton and Dave Peet for their work in the move to bring Brad to the LEL Arena for the remainder of the season.”
