Millom will finish third or fourth depending on how they complete their Third Division programme at Seaton Rangers on Saturday.
A 56-6 home win against Eastmoor Dragons moved them to within two points behind third-placed Leigh East who have already completed their fixtures.
Millom trail their rivals by 39 points on scoring differential so both they, and bottom side Seaton, will be aware of that ahead of the game.
The Woolybacks had lost 28-22 in Wakefield earlier in the season so this was a welcome revenge win.
There wasn’t much doubt that Millom were on their way to a comfortable win as they led 20-0 at half-time and the Dragons only had three substitutes. The fact that they were twice down to 12 men on the pitch through first-half yellow cards didn’t help the Eastmoor cause.
Niall Harris (2) Owen High and Kian McPherson had scored first-half tries, two of them converted by Lee Postlethwaite.
It was a one-sided affair in the second-half when there were six more Millom tries.
McPherson added three more to his personal tally, High went over again while they were followed onto the scoresheet by Jonathan Hodgson and Dominic O’Brien.
Postlethwaite added six more goals.
