Holker Hall & Gardens are inviting music lovers to enjoy an evening of live entertainment to wrap up the summer holidays.

On Saturday, September 2, the Thieving Magpies will play from 5pm in the Shire Yard.

With hay bale seating and a pop-up bar, the yard will be transformed into an intimate and rustic performance space.

Fran Horne, head of visitor services, said: “The Shire Yard is a gorgeous setting to enjoy live music and we’re really looking forward to having the Thieving Magpies perform.

“This is the perfect way to wrap up the holidays before the kids go back to the school and we’re sure the vibe will be spot on for a summer evening.

“What’s more, entry is totally free, so if you’re looking for a low-cost way to spend your Saturday evening, this is just the ticket.”

The Thieving Magpies have performed all across Cumbria and beyond, with an eclectic set sure to delight audiences of all ages and tastes.

Fell Brewery will also be on hand to keep visitors feeling refreshed with a range of locally brewery beers, plus there’ll be delicious food options available.
