
It is believed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Barrow.
Police were called to Walney Road at around 9.55pm on Saturday by the ambulance service after a man was found with head injuries near the Owl and Pussycat pub.
The man, in his 40s from Barrow, was taken to Furness General Hospital. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Cumbria Constabulary has issued an update this morning to confirm that the circumstances were not believed to be suspicious, following extensive enquiries made by officers following the initial report.
The man’s family have been informed and are being supported by police officers.
The coroner has been informed, police said.
