Touch a Truck returns to Cockermouth

Cockermouth Rotary’s Touch a Truch gala

A family gala featuring giant trucks, a fire engine, buses, tractors, quad bikes and more will return to Cockermouth this weekend.

Touch a Truck, organised by Cockermouth Rotary, will take place on the James Walker site and Deer Orchard football ground on Sunday, September 17.

Among the giant trucks taking part will be Lawson’s cranes, fire engine, 4×4 heavy vehicles, Thomas Armstrong trucks, Cumberland heritage buses, county highways, Eric Nicholson lorries, Tom Lindsay tractor and digger and Mike Rigby quad bikes.

There will be free fairground rides and food outlets as well as face painting.

Joining in the fun on the day will be local mountain rescue, the Coastguard, Maryport Rescue and P&R Benns Motors.

Doors open at 10am and the gala runs until 4pm.
