Preparations are underway for John Stevenson’s 10th Annual Skills Fair.

The Carlisle MP’s event will take place at Carlisle College on Thursday, January 25.

The 2023 fair saw record numbers of students, job seekers and exhibitors attending with positive feedback from all.

Businesses and skills providers across the city and wider Cumbria, have already been written to and invited to take part in the anniversary event.

Robin Brown, of SP Training, said: “I am delighted to yet again be supporting John and the Carlisle Skills Fair in 2024. SP Training has been involved every year from the outset and we are very much looking forward to the 10th anniversary.

“It’s a great opportunity to speak to local people about the training opportunities we have on offer to get them into their next job. 10 skills fairs is such an achievement – we wouldn’t dream of missing it!”

Mr Stevenson said: “Every year the fair just gets bigger and better, so I am determined that the 10th anniversary fFair will be the best yet.

“I am extremely proud that together with local businesses and training and skills providers we have successfully ensured that thousands of young people and job seekers have been able to get the best possible advice and guidance on the many opportunities that have been available to them across our city.

“With more and new types of jobs and careers becoming available, it is more important than ever that we continue to allow our young people, job seekers, returners to work and those looking for a career change, to be best placed to benefit from the many opportunities before them.

I’m encouraging everyone to put the date in their diary.”

Businesses in the Carlisle area which would like to attend are asked to email office@johnstevensonmp.co.uk or call 01228 550684.
