Workington Reds Ladies are still looking for their first away points of the season after failing to hold onto their second half lead at Radcliffe.
They had led 2-1 but the hosts came back strongly to win the game 4-2.
The first half had played out quite equally with both sides exchanging turns to make the running in the game
Unfortunately for the Reds it was the home side that went ahead just before the stroke of half time.
A ball played out of the hands of the home keeper wasn’t dealt with in the middle of the park and the pacey Radcliffe right winger was the first to react to the bouncing ball.
She drove forward towards the Reds by-line before pulling back a low cross to meet the oncoming Kimberley Tyson who finished from close range.
Around ten minutes later and the Reds were level through Morgan McGrady after good link up work on the half-way line with Liv Bennet.
Released into space McGrady drove at the goal from the left before striking for goal with her shot only being parried by the keeper into the top right corner.
These fair rewards for both teams at half time saw the game at a stalemate.

On 55 minutes the visitors went ahead from a free kick on the right just outside the area.
Eleanor McDonald delivered a cracking ball into the box which Keeley Holliday headed goalwards. The Radcliffe keeper could only push the ball away from her body and Sophie Birkett’s keen anticipation meant that she was first on the scene to hammer home from close range.
Within five minutes the game was back all square after a goal kick from Laura Miller found its way back to the Radcliffe striker Anna Keeling.
She drove in on Miller from the left and slotted the ball past her from close range. This was the first of two goals in 10 minutes for Keeling as later she poked the home side in front for her second of the day.
When a ball was delivered into the box from the right Keeling’s alert reactions and strong physicality gave her the advantage in a goal mouth tussle which resulted in her forcing home Radcliffe’s third goal.
As the game entered its final 15 minutes the home side delivered the final telling blow from a corner kick on the right.

The ball was delivered and contested around the penalty spot area with the ensuing loose ball finding Hollie Burke on the edge of the area.
She shifted position and shot as she was being closed down, but the quality of strike was good enough to beat the oncoming press and the efforts from Miller between the posts.
This was the final notable act of the game and resulted in the home side leapfrogging the visitors in the league standings to claim 6th position whilst the Reds drop back to 9th.
Player of the game was awarded to midfielder, Hannah Ridgewell.
The Reds are on their travels again this week-end as they travel to Penwortham Ladies before their attention turns to the Women’s FA Cup and their home tie against Penrith on the 1st October at the Fibrus Community Stadium.
