Elsie Fox made history at Workington Cricket Club when they reached the County Cup final.
The teenager became the first girl or woman to play first team cricket for the club having come up through the various age groups at the Valentine Ground.
She is also going to be a member of the Cumbria junior squad which will be touring Sri Lanka next year.
Elsie was part of a young Workington side which took a strong Kendal side all the way in the final which was played out on the One Hundred format.
Workington had won the toss and elected to bat, making 97-5 off their 100 deliveries.
Davis Mills (28no) and Ryan Clubley (21) were the main run makers for the West Cumbrians with Lewis Richardson (2-13) off 20 balls the leading Kendal wicket-taker.
Kendal needed 94 deliveries to get to 101-4 to win the trophy as Freddie Fallows (29), Bradley Earl (27) and Max Winskill (25) got among the runs.
Workington used nine bowlers including teenager Nathan Canfield who, alongside Elsie, was making his senior debut. He took 0-3 off ten deliveries but did force seven dot balls.
Elsie had five deliveries, one dot ball and finished with 0-5.
Nathan and Elsie are among a crop of promising youngsters at the club who recently enjoyed their presentation night in the pavilion.
