Three men, who said they were deaf, have been trying to sell artwork on doorsteps – and police would like to trace them.
An appeal has been issued by Cumbria Constabulary after the men were seen in the Warwick Bridge, Burnrigg and Little Corby areas on September 12.
Officers would like to track down any CCTV footage of them and are particularly interested in any vehicle connected to them, which may have also been seen in the Heads Nook area on the same day.
Police are also investigating a burglary in Heads Nook, which took place between last Friday, September 15 and this Monday and said they were open-minded as to if it was connected to the trio.
Several items were stolen in the break-in, including three watches and a Swiss Army Knife.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious, including persons or vehicles, in the Heads Nook area that weekend.
