Aspatria Hornets are planning to relaunch their senior team in the Holmen Iggesund Cumberland ARL next season.
For one reason or another the club could not guarantee being able to put out a team throughout the current campaign so were forced to resign.
However there is plenty of optimism around the club now that they will be in a position to take part in next season’s competition.
To rest the water the Hornets have organised a meeting for tonight at the Letters Inn (6.30pm for 7pm start) with anyone over the age of 16 who is interested in playing rugby league invited to attend.
For the club, Mark Ridley said: “Anyone who is interested in playing rugby league at Aspatria, regardless of experience, will be warmly welcomed. We are very hopeful of entering a senior team for next year.”
