Whitehaven and their struggling Championship rivals are all in the last chance saloon this weekend.
Whoever suffers the worst result between Haven, Swinton and Keighley will accompany Newcastle Thunder into League One next season.
Coach Jonty Gorley says: “We are all in the same situation. We have tough matches and it will boil down to who has the worst result.
“As far as we are concerned we just have to make sure we put everything into the game with Toulouse, and we show the desire that is needed on what is the final game of the season.
“There are some guys going out there who will be playing their final game for Whitehaven and I like to think they will give that little bit extra because of that.
“It’s been a tough season, for many reasons, and it’s going to boil down to the final game.”
Gorley has named Marcus O’Brien in the squad of 21 after he has been absent for some time with a knee injury, but he unlikely to be involved.
Definitely out, though, is Perry Singleton following a head knock in the defeat at Swinton last week.
Forward Daniel Spencer-Tonks has been found guilty of a Grade D dangerous contact following that Swinton game and has been handed a two-match penalty but he is free to play against Toulouse.
The squad is: Dave Eccleston, Chris Taylor, Curtis Teare, Karl Dixon, Callum Phillips, Connor Holliday, Lachlan Lanskey, Dion Aiye, Jamie Doran, James Newton, Lasarusa Tabu, Marcus O’Brien, Lucas Castle, Josh Rourke, Daniel Spencer-Tonks, Oscar Doran, Jake Carter, Ross Ainley, Will Groves, George Hill, Brad Holroyd.
