
There were a variety of winners when Workington Town held their annual presentation night at the Fibrus Community Stadium.
But young half-back Ciaran Walker, who is a nomination for the League One Young Player of the Year on a national level, went home with three of the trophies on offer.
He was the Players choice as Young Player of the Year, won the Times & Star readers Player of the Year; and was also the top points scorer and golden boot winner with 221 points, 86 goals, 12 tries and a drop goal.
Jordan Burns, in his first season at the club, picked up two awards – Derwent Park Supporters Club player of the year and the coveted Players’ player of the year.
It was announced on the night that Blain Marwood had agreed a one-year extension to his contract and he also picked up Workington Town Supporters Club player of the year in memory of George Petre.

Other award winners were:
- Directors volunteer of the year: Wayne Scholey and Malcolm Hill.
- Coaching teams person or persons of the year: The entire volunteer workforce.
- Travellers Rest Supporters Club player of the year: Jake Bradley.
- Brian Ritson memorial award for most influential Townie: Scott Graham.
- Try of the season: Carl Forber v Doncaster at home.
- Top try scorer: Sean Sabutey 17 tries in all competitions.
- Head coach’s most improved player across 2023: Jack Stephenson.
- Head coach’s Workington Town player of the year : Stevie Scholey and Matty Henson.
