In the Fred Conway Cumberland Cup this weekend, three ties featured all Cumberland County League teams while a fourth was an-all Westmorland League affair

Two goals from Lewis Park plus another from Chris Moore gave Whitehaven Miners Social a 3-0 victory against Silloth.

Ciaran Laverty, Ciaran Booty, Logan Bosward, Callum Casson and Joe Phillipson were all on the score sheet as Maryport Athletic beat Cockermouth 5-0.

Wigton were 2-0 winners against Keswick with Matty Reid and Jonny Studholme both netting for the Harriers

In the all-Westmorland League meeting, Kirkoswald edged past Wetheriggs United 4-3 with goals from Brad Renwick (2), Ryan Gate and Liam Studholme. Wetheriggs scorers were Rhys Akrigg, Ben Brookes and Joe Walton.

Away from the Cup, a double from Rhys Singleton and another goal from Daniel McGarry gave Gosforth a 3-2 win against Unisun Athletic in the Cumberland County League Premier. Kain Makar and Jason McAleese both netted for Unisun.

The Cumberland County League Premier game’s featuring Cleator Moor Celtic Reserves and Carlisle City Development was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Dearham Utd v Whitehaven AFC Reserves in Division One and Bransty Rangers v Mirehouse in the Conway Cup were also beaten by the weather.
