Carlisle United have issued another plea for good behaviour at Brunton Park ahead of tomorrow’s home game with Leyton Orient.

In a statement the club affirmed it was committed to providing an enjoyable atmosphere for everyone who attends games at Brunton Park.

It said: “We aim to promote equality, diversity and inclusion and to confront and eliminate discrimination.

“Any instances of discriminatory actions or language of any kind will be investigated.

“Any individual found to be guilty of this type of behaviour will be banned by the club, and could be subject to follow-up action from the authorities.

“Please, enjoy the game, back the team, but keep Brunton Park as a safe and welcoming environment.

“The club welcomes flags and banners from home and away fans. Flags of any size that are attached to wooden or metal poles, or rigid-plastic tubing, are not permitted.

“Small hand-held sized flags on flexible plastic handles are acceptable. If you have any queries or wish to bring a flag or banner, you must contact the club in advance so we can confirm arrangements and avoid disappointment on the day.

“Please note – any flag with a political or religious message will not be permitted into the stadium. Flags of this type will be confiscated prior to entry to Brunton Park.”

There were incidents last season of coins being thrown towards the Leyton Orient bench from the Paddock.
