
Police are urging people to come forward if they have any information about a serious assault in Barrow.
The incident happened on September 16 at 4am at the junction of Cavendish Street and Preston Street and officers are following new lines of enquiry in their investigation.
It involved two men, and police said there were potentially a number of people in the area who would have witnessed the incident or after the incident.
A local man in his early 20s received serious, non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.
Officers are looking to identify a man believed to have been involved in the incident. He is described as white, with short brown hair. He wore a black T-shirt, black skinny fit jeans and dark trainers.
Police are also appealing for two men who witnessed the incident, to come forward to assist with enquiries.
The first man is described as white and was wearing a black T-shirt, with a bright coloured jacket tied round his waist and dark jeans.
The second man is described as white and was wearing denim shorts and a grey hooded jacket.
