
Parkside came out on top 2-1 in the West Cumberland Sunday League’s clash of the heavyweights.
Hosts Northside also boasted an unbeaten record but at the end of a hard-fought, always close encounter Parkside just about deserved their win.
All the goals came in the first 20 minutes with Northside taking the lead through Jamie Bramley before two quick goals from Tom Mahone and Ryan Maguire edged Parkside in front.
Despite the best efforts of both sides this Premier Division contest failed to produce another goal.
The only other Premier Division game saw Deer Orchard produce their best performance of the season to win 6-2 at Lowca Pirates.
It was their first win in nine league games and most welcome as Mike Graham (2), Luke Harrison (2), Luke Graham and Louis Pickering supplied the goals.
Owen Todd and Owen Woodburn were on target for the Pirates.

Division One leaders Sun Inn made it 10 wins from 10 games when they proved far too strong for King’s Arms, running out 13-1 winners.
Richard O’Keefe led the way with four goals and as well as an own goal there were eight different other scorers – Ben Allen, Harry Creighton, Mally Graham, John Graham, Cameron Jackson, Luke Bennett, Matty Prior and Lewis Penn. Aaron Baird scored for the King’s Arms.
Not so rampant were Sun FC as they went down 9-1 at home to Senhouse Street.

Zack Starkie (2), Dan Smith (2), Gary O’Driscoll (2), Terry Wharrier, Jack Reid and Mike Herbert supplied the goals. Jay Wilson replied for The Sun.
Flimby were comfortable 8-0 winners at home to the Swan with goals from Scott Underwood (4), Leo Holliday (3) and David Conway.
The two other games were much righter affairs as FC Butchers won 2-1 at Salterbeck and Seaton Rangers edged Royal Oak 1-0.
Cameron Carter and Callum Foy scored for Butchers with Logan Potter responding for Salterbeck.

A single goal from Dan Graham earned Seaton Rangers the points over Royal Oak.
There was one game in the County Cup, a delayed first round tie in which Moresby won 5-0 at Thornhill. The Moresby goals came from Brett Smith (2), Matthew Williams, Aaron Hart and Ethan Green.
