A man in his 20s has died following a serious crash on the M6.
Police are investigating the fatal collision that happened yesterday evening on the M6 southbound at High Wreay.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers were contacted at 7.53pm after the report of a one-vehicle collision, involving a white BMW.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving. He remains in police custody.
It is believed the BMW entered the M6 motorway from junction 42 and headed south.
