A body has been found in the search for a man who fell from a Carlisle bridge.
Multi-agency searches have remained ongoing since Sunday evening, when the man could not be found after entering the water beneath Wetheral railway bridge.
Police have now confirmed the discovery of a man’s body in the area of Wetheral Viaduct this afternoon.
The family of the man being searched for have been made aware of today’s developments.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
