A Carlisle road is set to fully close for improvement work next week.
The work, on Aglionby Street, is set to start on Monday, October 30 and is to be completed by Friday, 3 November.
Work will take place from 8am to 4pm each day and the improvements will take place between property numbers two and 76 on the street.
The council said the road will be accessible outside of these hours if it is considered safe.
Cumberland Council, which is co-ordinating the work, said that it is also asking residents to find alternative parking due to the full closure for safety.
If residents or businesses require access to their property the council is asking people to discuss this with the traffic marshal who will be on site during the works. It added that there may be some delays to accessing properties.
A diversion route will also be in place along Warwick Road, Cecil Street and Brunswick Street.
The road is closing for a carriageway overlay project which aims to enhance the road’s durability and quality.
It will involve reshaping the road to improve drainage, replacing ironwork for future maintenance accessibility and adding new line markings for parking bays.
Access will be maintained for emergency services during the work.
