Ulverston’s Ford Park is preparing to get festive – with a host of activities lined up for the Christmas season.
Sally Whittaker, of Absolute Beginners, will run Christmas Craft Workshops at Ford Park next month.
Children aged 11 and over can take part in a needle felting workshop on November 18, where they can make their own Christmas Gonk, and in the afternoon, there is an adult needle felting workshop to create a Christmas angel.
Sally will also lead two wreath making workshops on November 24.
In December, Ford Park will welcome Father Christmas and his elves.
The walled garden will be lit up and children can visit the elves’ workshop to make a traditional Christmas decoration and write their list for Santa. Children can then sit in Santa’s sleigh while parents take photographs.
The fernery will be transformed into Santa’s grotto where children will meet Santa and give him their Christmas list. Children will receive a gift and then be invited to take part in the reindeer trail to help Santa find the reindeers who got lost along the woodland trail.
The park’s Santa event is supported by Booths, Ulverston and CGP.
All events help support the maintenance and development of the community park.
