A man has been seriously injured in an attack in Carlisle.
A woman was also assaulted during the incident yesterday, Saturday November 4, between 3.30pm and 4pm on the river footpath behind Robert Ferguson Primary School.
They were attacked by a man, who was travelling by mountain bike. The woman was uninjured.
The cyclist is described as in his 50s, of a stocky build and was wearing glasses, a blue Puffa-style jacket and jeans.
