A man was rescued by a passer-by after he jumped in a South Cumbrian river.
Police were called to Stramongate Bridge over the River Kent at around 3.30pm yesterday, Tuesday November 7
Both men were out of the water by 3.50pm, police said and the man who jumped in left the scene by ambulance to be checked over.
