A sell-out foodie experience is making a comeback at this year’s Taste Cumbria Christmas event.
The Supper Club took place for the first time at the festival’s flagship event last year, hosted by Alec Anderson from Takeaway@Home, and organisers said it was a huge success.
This Christmas’s dining experience will take place on Thursday December 7 at Low Hall The Lakes – a restored farmhouse and its event space, the Loveable Old Barn, on the outskirts of Cockermouth near Blindbothel.
The venue is normally used for weddings and parties, so many people don’t get to enjoy its rustic surroundings, making the event that bit more exclusive.
Owners Ben and Francesca Knight have transformed the historic buildings to create a magical atmosphere and the team from Ambleside’s Smokey Pikes will be creating a three course Winter feast for attendees to enjoy.
Tickets are on sale now priced at £45 and guests will receive a welcome cocktail before their meal which promises to be packed with local produce. To book, visit: https://visitallerdale.co.uk/things-to-do/taste-cumbria-christmas/
This dining experience is part of the Taste Cumbria Christmas festival, which takes place in Cockermouth on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December 2023.
With chef demos, live music, family entertainment, a hot food court and lots of stalls packed with food, drink, homewares and art, it promises to be a great weekend. Visitors will also have the chance to explore Cockermouth’s independent businesses and eat, drink and shop in the run up to Christmas.
This year’s Taste Cumbria Christmas is organised by Cumberland Council, sponsored by Cockermouth Town Council, The Coffee Kitchen Bakery, Holmen Iggesund and Milburns Solicitors, and supported by Cockermouth and District Chamber of Trade.
