Kofi Moore, who left Workington this week after being recalled by Oldham Athletic, has a new club – in the NPL Premier Division.
It might not be just coincidental that he has joined Guiseley, where he came on last week as a second-half substitute in a 4-3 defeat for the Reds.
Moore had been with Reds for three months with the original deal said to run until the first week in January. He had scored five goals for Danny Grainger’s men and generally made a very favourable impression.
In joining Guiseley he is accompanied by Oldham team-mate Jake Forshaw, who has also been out on loan with Stalybridge Celtic.
The pair have joined the Yorkshire club for the rest of the season and are expected to be in the squad for today’s League game at FC United of Manchester.
Last week at Guiseley Reds had the maximum five players on loan but that went down to three with the departure of Moore and also Josh O’Brien who was recalled by Carlisle United.
They have added to the squad with the signing of Marshe United defender Camron Gbadebo who will be in the team for today’s long trip to Basford United in Nottinghamshire.
Reds won the home game 5-3 early in the season when Moore scored two of the goals but since then today’s hosts have changed their management team. They go into today’s game on the back of a very good 1-1 draw at Macclesfield.
