A popular Lake District farm shop is joining the line-up of a unique Kendal shopping experience.
Spinning Jennies, in the former Beales department store, is on track to open next year and its owners have announced that A Day’s Walk farm shop will be among the traders taking their place in the development.
It is an ambitious project to redevelop the Finkle Street property into a multi-use food and retail hub with an emphasis on Cumbrian produce and makers.
Peter Tidswell, retail director, said: “We are thrilled to have A Day’s Walk join us. Their farm-to-table approach and emphasis on supporting local producers will undoubtedly resonate with our community and visitors.”
A Day’s Walk has a range of over 400 items, all sourced within a day’s walk of the Lake District.
People can sample A Day’s Walk produce next month as Spinning Jennies is hosting a pop-up shop at 37 Finkle Street in the run-up to Christmas.
