
Flimby Homing Society have staged their first of their show race events in the village Social Club.
The show was for any age cock and the race, next season, will equate to the longest inland race.
Ian Sharples was the judge and he had 69 entries to assess.
In the end he gave tickets to the following: 1, 2, A. Bromley; 3, Williams and Hadfield; 4, M. Hodgson; 5, Varty, son and grandson; 6, Tinnion and McGarr; 7, 8, Rushforth and Hunter.
The second show race will be on Tuesday, December 13 and this time it will be for the first channel race of 2024.
Tonight (FRIDAY) Workington Victoria will hold a show in the Union Jack Club for young hens (judging at 7-30pm).
