In the First Division of the Carlisle and District Snooker League DH Qzone played their first home game in their new venue against Ex C.
In frame one, Ex C’s Dave Turley edged ahead early on with a 21 break, before Tony Desborough pulled it back to be almost level.
Some quality safety play from both players saw a tense opener, before Desborough potted the final blue to leave Turley needing two snookers, and he conceded after fouling on the pink.
The second frame saw the battle of the number fours, Gary Cosway winning 76 to 28 with the help of a great 32 break.
The number threes then contested the next frame, and Jason Herderson won comfortably with two 20-plus breaks helping him to a routine win.
Game four saw the number two players face off, and ‘Sarnie’ pulled a frame back for the away side in straightforward fashion, matching the highest break of the night with a classy 32.
Peter Marsden completed the night for the Ex by winning a tight frame by 20 points.
