They recorded a 3-2 home win over fellow top tier opponents, Station Road Club.
A victory for United A captain, Andrew Mitchelhill put his side on the front foot but with wins for Mark Robertson and Chris Hunter Workington’s Station Road Club pushed 2-1 ahead.

A win for United B’s Stephen Harrison was soon cancelled out with a victory from Maryport’s Andrew Sharp but it was Dale Milton who produced the highlight of the match with a break of 51 to put United B 2-1 up.
A Greg Todd triumph in frame four was enough to take the fixture to a decider, however it was Wayne Sinclair who dashed the Social Club’s hopes with a relatively easy win in the last to take the match victory.
United B and Maryport Social sit on Division Two respective totals of 21 and 11 points.
Whitehaven’s Rack Shack recorded their second win in as many weeks with a 3-2 away defeat of Workington’s Golf Club B.
A Ryan Pearson victory was a good opening for the Golf B side but as Chris McKelvey took a close second parity was delivered.
