
Volunteers from a Lake District mountain rescue team were called out on Christmas Day after a walker fell near Windermere.
Ten members of Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team were called to Brantfell after the walker had seriously injured their leg.
Working with crews from the North West Ambulance Service and the Great North Air Ambulance, the casualty was treated and airlifted to hospital.
The team was out for around three hours and said: “We returned home to enjoy a slightly delayed Christmas dinner!”
