Part of a Workington car park will close from Monday to make way for a new NHS diagnostic centre.
Sections of the town’s Central car park will be cordoned off as work starts on the centre, which will provide services including MRI, CT, and ultrasound scans.
Cumberland Council said spaces at the end nearest the town centre will still be available for parking and permit holders can still use the car park.
From Monday, January 8, the closed-off section will be clearly marked with fencing to guide users to the designated parking areas, it added.
It is however encouraging people to use other nearby car parks nearby, including the multi-storey.
