More details have been released about the special three-day training camp being staged in Workington next month.
The British Youth Championship is set to flourish further in 2024 with a total of 44 riders already registered to take part.
The 500cc class includes 14 riders, with nine riders signed up at 250cc level and 21 planning to compete in the 125cc category.
And with dates for the series set to be confirmed this weekend, the GB youngsters will also be able to benefit from a fully booked training camp in February with expert tuition.
British Youth boss Neil Vatcher said: “We have had a tremendous response for this year’s Championship. It is brilliant to have such vast numbers, and it would be only fair to say outside of Poland I would be surprised if any other nation has such large numbers of youth riders registered.
“We have an exciting three-day training camp planned for Workington next month, where seven times British Champion Scott Nicholls will be in attendance along with former Great Britain rider and now ace mechanic Paul Hurry to train and coach the riders over the two track days, as well as the legendary Steve Lawson.
“Former British Youth Champion Tom Brennan will be in attendance on the second track day.
“As well as the track days, there will also be one day of fitness work which will be led by James Luckman who is a qualified personal trainer and runs the Papa Luckman Fitness Group, and this will take place at the very impressive Xtreme Fitness in Workington.
“Also on the non-track day there will be a classroom session on bike maintenance which will include a talk from Steve Lawson and the coaches, as well as James Luckman and personal trainer Lee Butterworth talking about food and nutrition.”
The Young Lions thanked all the clubs and British Youth Sponsors for their continued support in 2024.
Meanwhile Connor Bailey, Workington Comets number one from their relaunch season, is a special guest on Saturday at Celebration of British Speedway.
He’s among all the 2023 British Junior Champions who will be in attendance at the event organised by the Nuneaton Speedway Supporters’ Club.
British U21 and U19 Champions Bailey and Dan Thompson will be joined by Youth winners Ashton Boughen (500cc), William Cairns (250cc), Oliver Bovingdon (125cc) and Rocco Webb (125cc support) to mark their achievements of last season.
The evening hosted by BSN’S Ian Brannan alongside British Youth boss Neil Vatcher is open to any riders and families competing in this year’s British Youth Championship as well as NSSC members.
Details will be released of several dates and venues for the 2024 series along with the draw for the British Under-21 Qualifier – which has been confirmed for Plymouth on April 30 – and the list of seeded riders for the final.
