A teenage boy has been arrested and a dispersal order was put in place after disorder connected to football fans in Barrow.
Cumbria police said a dispersal order had been issued for parts of the town as a precautionary measure after low-level disorder linked to football supporters before the game.
The boy was arrested following reports of disorder in Bath Street.
The dispersal order, which gives the police extra stop and search powers to prevent violence, was in force until 7.30pm today, Saturday January 20.
Police said: “This incident is believed to involve mainly young people and teenagers.
“As such, we would encourage parents to speak to young people about the impact of their behaviour and be sure of where they are and what they are doing when out.”
