A Cumbrian restaurant has made its debut in the prestigious Good Food Guide.
The annual publication – considered a bible for foodies – was launched yesterday and The Cedar Tree at Farlam Hall was named as one of six new restaurants in the exceptional category.
It joins existing exceptional restaurants in Cumbria – Old Stamp House, Ambleside and Lake Road Kitchen, Ambleside – already on the list.
Cartmel’s L’Enclume is one of four world class restaurants in the guide and Allium at Askham Hall in Eden was runner-up in the Drinks List of the Year Award, while Simon Rogan’s Our Farm was named best farm to table restaurant and his L’Enclume was runner-up in Restaurant of the Year.
Cumbria Crack’s Lucy Edwards visited Farlam Hall last year – read her thoughts here.
