Man v Fat Football Carlisle witnessed a thrilling shakeup in the standings in its penultimate week of the league season.
The latest matches showcased the players’ skill and determination, with all teams showcasing exceptional talent and teamwork under challenging windy conditions.
This week’s Oranges vs. Greens fixture had been billed as the potential title decider, and with a statement 10-7 victory, it is the Oranges who have retaken control of the league table in the penultimate week of the season.
All signs are now pointing to a Fatarselona league title win. The Greens will now have to hope for an unlikely win from Fatburn Rovers Blues in the final week of the season to stand any hope of claiming the title.

Parmesan Belgrade Blacks are also in contention, but will need two other results to go their way.
Elsewhere in this week’s games, Fatburn Rovers Blues faced a tough match against Parmesan Belgrade Blacks, ending in a decisive 10-2 victory for the Blacks. Borussia Muncheneverything Whites secured a notable 12-7 victory over Scran United Reds.
Individual performances were once again a highlight of the week. Jamie Dunn for the Blacks was pivotal, his game-changing presence, organisational skills and four-goal-haul earning him the Man of the Match, while Shane Statter for the Blues demonstrated remarkable goalkeeping under pressure.

Scott Clarkson’s tireless work-rate and all-around performance for the Greens and Mike Vevers’ goal-scoring prowess for the Reds were standout moments.
Gareth Howgill’s goalkeeping for the Oranges was described as a “force of nature,” and Liam’s control and two goals for the Whites earned him accolades.
This week also saw impressive weight loss achievements across the teams, with Oranges leading the way. Notable mentions include Marco Berti from the Reds and Jonny Wattis from the Oranges, among the top losers, contributing to a significant collective weight loss.
The league’s head coach, Beverley Young, said “Hats off this week to Mal Brown in Oranges for achieving a massive 15 per cent weight loss – over 23kgs – since joining us in late August ‘23. Absolutely amazing!

“It was great to see continued weight loss across five of our teams, rewarded by 12 off-the-pitch hat-trick goals.
“A special mention to Greens and Oranges who scored our club’s first ever nil-nil on the pitch, but with all their concerted focus off the pitch, the Oranges snook a lead with a final score of 7-10.
“Finally, a special coach shout out also for the way our teams warmly welcomed new players to the club!”
