Two West Cumbrian sides who had missed out on games in the BARLA National Cup for Under-18s played each other in a friendly.
Lowca’s game at Drighlington was called off because of a waterlogged pitch while Kells scheduled opponents East Leeds pulled out.
In a close contest Lowca won 16-12 scoring three tries to the two of Kells.
Bailey Worthington, Owen Mallinson and Deaton Askew scored the Lowca tries with two conversions from Evan Hodgson.

Try scorers for Kells were Charlie Scott and Arben Pervizajm both converted by Jamie Jennings.
Hensingham were another side to go through unchallenged as scheduled visitors Shevington Sharks pulled out.
Wath Brow Hornets did play, however, and their challenge ended with a 38-4 home defeat to a smart Rochdale Mayfield side.

In the National Cup for Under-16s Hensingham made progress after a good game at home to Woolston Rovers Golds, edging it 22-18.
There were defeats, though, for Kells (48-4 at Featherstone Lions) and Millom (22-0 at home to Normanton Knights).
Distington were excellent 24-12 winners at Featherstone Lions in the National Cup for Under-14’s but Wath Brow Hornets went down 26-0 at Golborne Parkside.
Maryport, who have a useful Under-14s side, travel to Oulton Raiders this Sunday.
