Holders Workington Reds will have to wait to find out their opponents in the semi-final of the Fred Conway County Cup.

The draw was made last night and Reds were paired away to the winners of the tie between Windscale and Maryport Athletic.

That is the last quarter final to be played and is scheduled for Wednesday, February 21 at the Falcon Complex, Egremont.

In the other semi-final Whitehaven Miners Social will play Carlisle United and the County League side will be hoping they get a run out on Brunton Park.

Dates for the two semi-finals still have to be confirmed by the Cumberland FA.

The draw for the quarter final of the Sunday County Cup was also made last night and the stand-out tie will be in the west of the county.

Parkside, who lead the West Cumberland Sunday League have a home tie against Inter Pirelli, the long-time holders of the trophy.

Dearham Commercial produced a fine result in the previous round to win 6-1 at FC Cosmos but they face another tough trip in the quarter final as they must visit Scotby.

Northside have won everything over the last few years in the Workington Sunday League but have never landed the County Cup which remains their main target.

They still have to meet Sun Inn in a twice-postponed tie in west Cumbria and the winners will be Carlisle bound to tackle Denton Holme.

The fourth quarter final will be played in Maryport where FC Butcher’s have home advantage over Jovial Sailor.
