Firefighters tackled a serious blaze in a barn in Portinscale last night.
Keswick Fire Station along with teams from Cockermouth and Penrith as well as Penrith’s water bowser were called out just after 10pm last night Friday 23 February, to a fire in a barn on How Lane.
The barn had cars, a quad bike and large quantities of wood inside it.
Crews worked hard for several hours to extinguish the fire and stop it from spreading to adjoining properties – but were not able to save the contents of the barn.
The incident ended at around 3am.
