Former Carlisle United midfielder Liam Noble has made a non-league loan move in the North East.
Noble, 32, who played over 260 games in the EFL for Carlisle United, Notts County and Forest Green, has joined Hebburn Town from Morpeth Town.
Speaking about the signing Hebburn Town’s assistant manager Mark Hudson said: “He is a very good player. To be fair, we weren’t really looking at signing anyone, but when we heard he was available, it was a no-brainer really.”
Noble joined Morpeth in 2019 and has gone on to make 97 appearances for the Highwaymen, scoring 21 goals.
Newcastle-born Noble played his youth football at Sunderland before having two spells on loan with Carlisle before signing for them in 2012.
He went on to make 130 across the three spells appearances and scored 20 goals before joining Notts County. Two spells with County yielded 88 appearances and 14 goals, while sandwiched in between was a 49-game spell at Forest Green (eight goals).
He moved back to the north east when he joined Hartlepool in 2018 and played 54 times with 16 goals before starting his five year spell at Morpeth.
Hebburn currently occupy fourth place in NPL East chasing a play-off place while Morpeth are 15th in the NPL {Premier Division, three points behind Workington.
